Welcome to The Jet Lag Chronicles, where the world is your oyster, and we’re here to crack it open, spill it on our pants, and eat it off the floor. So, get your passport ready and join us as we learn and explore the highs and lows of life beyond borders.
For us, this isn’t just another travel blog. It’s a means for change in our own lives. A community for expats, digital nomads, and curious travellers who want more than surface-level travel tips and two week vacation plans. This is about slow travel and finding the place(s) right for you. We’re here to help you skip the tourist traps, uncover hidden gems, and truly live abroad.
So, whether it’s the chaos of Bangkok, the creative spark of Medellín, or the coastal energy of Da Nang, we dive deep into what makes each place unique and share the practical details that help you live smarter, cheaper, and happier.

Because life is too short to stay put. “Let’s shoot for the moon! If we only get halfway there, so be it… better than working for The Man or dying 5 miles from where you were born.”
Here’s to the adventurous! 🌍✈️
To help Expats and Digital Nomads find their ideal destinations, make smarter lifestyle choices, and prepare for a life abroad. By the way, by ideal destinations, we don’t mean your favorite. We are talking about the best cost of living, lifestyle, tax brackets, visa options, etc.
We’re Moni and Dunny, aka The Jet Laggers. A Canadian-Colombian duo, deadset on wandering away from the beaten path to figure out where life actually treats us best. So far, we’ve lived in five cities across four countries—but that wasn’t enough. We’re on a lifelong mission to explore the highs, lows, and hidden hacks of the nomad lifestyle, all while searching for the perfect ‘home base.’
Career-wise, we come from tech, sales backgrounds. Paired with our obsession for global exploration, that means everything you read here is either lived, tested, or researched with our own plans in mind.
We've lived and worked across multiple countries and it only continues.
No sugarcoating. We hate that! We provide information we wish someone would show us.
We're not sponsored to push destinations. If we love a place, you'll know why.
